The Sailors’ Society is a fundraising organisation and almost entirely dependent upon charitable donations for its continued service to the seafaring community. Without donations we could not function.
In recent years our annual expenditure on the provision of services to the international seafaring community has increased and the indications are that to meet the demands of the years ahead we will need more funds.
If you wish to aid us in our work, there are a number of ways in which you can help.
Become a member of the Sailors’ Society and share in the following
- Receive newsletters keeping you informed of various events and developments the Society is involved with as well as details of the many projects and progress on these projects.
- Attend events. You will then be able to join other members at the many social and sociable events as well as attend the AGM which is held in September. The input is invaluable to formulate our future plans.
We are always looking for people to help us and there are a variety of ways in which you can volunteer.
- Morning markets
- The annual golf day
- The SYCS (Share your Christmas with a Seafarer ) project. A few thousand small gifts have to be wrapped, so we always need extra hands!
Donations, large or small are always welcome.
